The Foundation is committed to protecting children and vulnerable people from abuse, exploitation, neglect, harassment and avoidable harm.
2. Safeguarding principles
- The best interests, dignity and safety of the person come first.
- Concerns should be taken seriously and handled without retaliation.
- Information should be shared only with people who need it for protection.
- Photography and storytelling should be consent-led and respectful.
3. Expected conduct
Staff, volunteers, partners and visitors are expected to maintain appropriate boundaries and report concerns promptly.
4. Reporting a concern
Use the form below to make an initial report. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the relevant emergency service or responsible authority immediately.
5. How concerns are handled
Reports should be acknowledged, assessed and routed to an appropriate responsible person.
6. Confidentiality and records
Safeguarding information should be recorded accurately, stored securely and disclosed only when necessary.
7. Review and improvement
Safeguarding procedures should be reviewed as programmes grow and recognised practice changes.
